Our Mission ——

Healing Our Relationship With Nature Is Essential To Healing Ourselves.

Modern life has distanced us from the living world that sustains us. Our Living Earth exists to help bridge that divide.

Through film, conservation, and other creative endeavors, we create and support work that reminds people they are not separate from nature, but part of it. Every initiative we champion is rooted in one core purpose: to reconnect people to the planet in ways that are moving, memorable, and transformative.

This is more than awareness. It is about remembrance — rekindling reverence, responsibility, and relationship with the Earth.

WHY IT MATTERS ——

Because what we love, we protect.

Food as Relationship

Food is not merely fuel — it is a living connection to soil, season, and the web of life that sustains every meal we share.

Biodiversity as Belonging

Pollinators, fungi, ancient forests — not background life, but essential partners in human survival and the fabric of all living ecosystems.

Wildness Within

The wild is not somewhere “out there.” It is something ancient and alive within us — and reconnecting to it transforms how we live and care.

Support the work that reconnects us.

Every contribution helps fund stories, habitats, and creative initiatives that restore the bond between people and the living world.

Film & Storytelling

When We Were Wild

A documentary series exploring ancestral foodways and the timeless relationship between humans and the wild.

Each episode profiles people who live in deep reciprocity with the land, drawing nourishment, meaning, and identity from it in ways most modern humans have forgotten. Their stories remind us that our connection to food is our connection to life itself — an invitation to rekindle the wild, wise, and deeply human part of ourselves that still knows how to belong to the Earth.

Conservation

Save Wild Bees

Placing handcrafted log hives across California farmlands to restore wild bee habitat.

One in every three bites of food we eat depends on pollination — much of it carried out by bees. Yet modern agriculture relies heavily on commercial honeybee hives, many of which are vulnerable to the Varroa mite — a parasitic threat that has become one of the leading drivers of colony collapse worldwide. In contrast, wild and unmanaged bee colonies can develop resilience to these pressures over time. Inspired by the French tradition of l’arbre aux abeilles, this initiative supports the creation of handcrafted log hives throughout California’s agricultural landscapes. These hives are sanctuaries — allowing bees to live as they have for millennia, strengthening resilient pollinator populations that support the ecosystems we all depend on.

Support the Work

Help fund a more connected future.

Your support helps bring these initiatives to life — from powerful storytelling that shifts culture, to practical interventions that help living systems thrive. When you give to Our Living Earth, you are helping fund work that:

  • Reconnects people to the natural world through story and beauty
  • Protects and supports vulnerable ecosystems and pollinators
  • Preserves ancestral and land-based wisdom before it is lost
  • Inspires stewardship through reverence, creativity, and action.

This is not charity for a distant cause. It is an investment in the relationship that makes all life possible.
